Description

Finally I finished this commission for :iconenaxn:. I started it in March and finished just now (on a new tablet :)). It's a picture of Enaxn's beautiful dragon Denali. So even though I took so long I enjoyed drawing him. I had the idea that this old and calm creature always stays somewhere nearby and watching all that happens in the world during his long years - therefore the name. Does it make sense?

And wow, I just realised this is only my second serious dragon picture this year! Oh no, and now I realised it's not even "this" year's anymore! :O

The lighting is very well done
I have to agree with Junipers, very nice attention to the small and often forgotten details as well.
great sense of depth as it doesn't feel flat when looking to the background
composition is well constructed, even when looking to the background your drawn back to the foreground smoothly with well thought out balance over all.
All those scales must have taken forever to draw.

The only thing I would do and this really doesn't need it this at all. This is only a small thing really and is just from my perspective in my own work if I were to draw this, is the body of the dragon between the fore and hind legs feels slightly flat so up toward the wing i would add just a little more shadow, and down around the belly I would have extended the rim lighting a slight bit more to help create more depth. That said this image doesnt really need that as its a small alteration that wouldnt add much to the over all image and feel and Im no professional by far so grain of salt with that advise.
Over all very very nicely done and impressive work, keep it up!
